License Changes, The Automotive Suite, The QT Company in Japan - Alistair Adams, The QT Company

  • The Qt Company, in collaboration with the KDE Free Qt Foundation, recently changed it’s open source license with the 5.7 release. We’ll discuss what changed, why, and what it means to users of Qt.
  • In working with many automotive companies, The Qt Company and it’s services partners Pelagicore and KDAB, realized that while UI development in the car industry was improving, there was still a lot more of room for improvement. We’ll describe what’s in the Automotive Suite, why, and where we are going with it.
  • The Qt Company recently opened a new office in Japan to better serve our Japanese customers. Dan Koo, the Head of Qt in Japan, will introduce our new presence.
