The startup and response performance of IVI system is significant for users.
This presentation discusses the approaches for improving the startup time of
Linux based IVI system on the practical development.
Kazuomi KATO focused on the method of decreasing the system startup time
using partial backup memory.
He will explain what type of binary image should be remained after the ignition off
and how to reuse those images after the ignition on.
To satisfy the performance and security requirements, he adopted the pramfs,
which is protected and persistent RAM filesystem, as root filesystem.
He will also explain other approaches that are the parallel execution of
initializing process at boot time and applying the prelinking including
the dlopened library in execution time.
